Additionally, Put Together will open with a “Waiting for Earthquakes” performance by Moon Ribas, a cyborg who senses earthquakes worldwide with the assistance of an implant in her arm.
Directly after the runway, Kiara Craft will perform new-release songs from her upcoming second album.
Afterward, join us for a cocktail hour & gallery show with the designers & models to get an up-close experience with the designs. Music for the event will be DJ’d by Whatcat.
Moon Ribas is a Catalan contemporary choreographer and the co-founder of the Cyborg Foundation, an international organisation that aims to help people become cyborgs, defend cyborg rights and promote cyborgism as an artistic and social movement.
Since 2007 Moon has been experimenting with different cybernetics devices that allow her to perceive movement in a deeper way. Moon’s main research consists in developing the seismic sense, perceiving the movement of real-time earthquakes all around the world, small as 1 in Richter scale. Moon then translates this new sense on stage, her main piece is called Waiting for Earthquakes, a piece where she stands waiting for an earthquake to take place, when this happen she moves according to the intensity of the earthquake, so if there are no earthquakes there will be no dance.
Las Vegas born, Houston raised, Kiara Craft is a blend of neon lights and southern charm. Raised in the Bayou City of Houston Texas, Kiara’s sultry voice, and soulful melodies are reminiscent of classic rhythm and blues, with a modern Pop vibe on top of Hip Hop-laced trap beats. Her new record, Sophisticated Freak, successfully showcases her vocal range, depth, and signature raw, emancipated lyrics that are sure to make the devil, himself, blush. Kiara’s wide array of musical influences (from Diana Ross to Aaliyah) make for a sound that is fresh, edgy, and distinctively “Kiara”.
